They participated in the 7th International Prize for Sacred Architecture 113 church/chapel projects from 33 countries worldwide.
The Scientific Committee of the Brother Sun Foundation selected 10 finalist projects.
Among these finalists, in a second phase, a Jurycomposed of the Winners of previous editions of the International Prize for Sacred Architecture - including Tadao Ando e Cristian Undurragatogether with the President of the Brother Sun Foundation, arch. Luigi Leoni - chose the Awarded of 7th edition of the International Prize for Sacred Architecture:
FIRST PRIZE - MECK ARCHITEKTEN Andreas Meck (†) and Axel Frühauf (Germany) - Seliger Pater Rupert Mayer church, Poing (Germany)
SECOND PRIZE - DELLEKAMP/SCHLEICH+AGENDARQ Derek Dellekamp, Jachen Schleich and Camilo Restrepo (Mexico) - Señor de Tula sanctuary, Jojutla de Juárez, Morelos (Mexico)
La rankingof the Winners was shared by the Scientific Committee of the Frate Sole Foundation and approved by the Board of Directors, which provided for 15,000 euro for the first prize and 10,000 euro for the second prize.
A report at seven finalist projects remaining, defined 'Ambassadors of the International Prize for Sacred Architecture' for the four-year period 2020-2024.
